First off, both of my friends said if I use their names they will "denounce me" and stamp denial on my review. It's very fortunate that we stayed as long as we did as we gave it about 35 minutes and realized it was 34 minutes too long. The opening scene seemed to be a reoccurrence throughout and we got the gist right away. Believe me. I can be tolerant, but you can only be expected to take so much. As you can see with the poster, "hilarious, stellar...," so I guess that got us. Edgy would be the only comment that I think is on the right track. If there is an opposite of a chick flick then this could be it, but if I was a guy I wouldn't go see this with a group of friends unless wearing a bag over my head was a thing.
Joseph Gordon Levitt directs and stars in this film as Don Jon. Don and his friends remind me as being straight out of a Jersey Shore episode. He is full of himself, doesn't seem to have a job and has some addictions that he is very proud of. He meets a sexy gal Barbara (Scarlet Johansson) that challenges him for the first time. Without seeing the end, I can only guess that he makes some changes in his life to get the girl. I may not have the right to review this seriously, but what I really want is to save you from wasting 90 minutes and $10. I would even consider paying you if you DON'T see it. We can not encourage Hollywood to make more movies like this. Ugh!
