Jason Bateman does comedy well, really well. Although I am not sure if I can embrace this film's premise. Guy Trilby (Bateman) is seeking revenge, sees a loophole in the National Spelling Bee rules, and enters as a legit contestant. This is all okay but "Bad Words" is not referring to the misspelling of words in the contest. Bateman and his scene stealer co-star let 'em fly in this short-by-Holloywood standards film at a mere 90 minutes. There are funny moments but Rohan Chand, the little guy that befriends Guy Trilby, is such a cutie he makes this worth seeing. Just bring some ear plugs!
